4. We commend to your attention immediately after the operation: - Cool the place of the operation definitely from outside.
- Avoid physically exertion eg. sports.
- Do not smoke!
- Only when the effect of the anaesthetic injection ceases completely, you can eat and have hot drinks.
- Do not drink coffee, tea or coke.
5. A week after the implantation: - Subsequently avoid physically exercise.
- On no account chew on the dental implant or in the periphery of it.
- Always rinse your mouth with lukewarm water after eating.
- Clean your teeth regulary except for the dental implant and the periphery of it.
- Do not use electronic toothbrush or mouth-shower at the dental implant.
- If you feel pain, call us immediately.
- Consult our dental surgeon about the possible use of antibacterial gargle.
6. After suture removal: Let the dental implant be in complete rest. Clean the dental implant and the periphery of it as we have shown you.
7. After releasing the dental implant: The same pieces of advice concern this period as the week after the operation.
8. After the prosthetic treatment: Dental implants need oral hygiene above the average. In the first year 3 monthly control, in the second year 6-8 monthly control is needed.
9. My tooth has been pulled out today? Is it possible to get an implant immediately? There are 2-3 weeks healing time for upper front teeth and 3 month healing time for any other cases. Or if possible our surgeon can put in the implant immediately.
10. For how long should I stay in Hungary for implantation? It takes approximately a week (from Monday to Saturday). First day consultation and examination and implantation. A day before you leave the suture will be removed and on the day of departure you will have your last check-up. Of course, there are other possibilities too. Ask the dentist! You should also know that after implantation you have to wait until your implants have settled in properly. If you’ve got implants into your upper jaw you need at least 4 months healing time. If you’ve got implants into your lower jaw you need at least 3 months healing time. After sinus-lift operation or bone-building the patient has to wait 6 month for healing. So after healing time you have to return to Hungary for the prosthetic treatment.
